Booking within five days of arrival? Your arrival information will be sent shortly after your reservation is confirmed so you have everything you need before traveling.

What time is check-in?
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM. Please plan your arrival around the confirmed check-in time provided with your reservation.
What time is checkout?
Checkout is by 10:00 AM so our cleaning team has enough time to carefully prepare the cabin for the next guests.
Is Mars Hill Haven dog friendly?
Yes. We welcome up to two approved dogs weighing 50 pounds or less. Dogs must be included in the reservation and the applicable pet fee applies.
Is parking available?
Yes. The driveway comfortably accommodates up to five standard vehicles.
For additional vehicles or larger vehicles, a large parking area is available just above the house. Please keep vehicles fully within the driveway or designated parking area and avoid blocking the neighborhood road.
Do I need AWD or four-wheel drive?
Most standard vehicles can reach the cabin during normal weather.
During snow, ice or other winter conditions, AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended because of the steep and winding mountain roads.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Fast Wi-Fi is available for streaming, remote work, trip planning and staying connected during your mountain getaway.
Can I arrive early?
Please plan around the confirmed 4:00 PM check-in time. If the cabin is available earlier and we are able to offer an early arrival, we will contact you.
Your First Drive Up the Mountain
Mountain Roads Are Part of the Adventure
Mars Hill Haven sits at approximately 4,300 feet, so the final part of the trip includes real mountain roads.
There are two primary routes to the cabin. One includes a more direct section with an approximately 14% grade. The alternate route is longer and winding, with several steep mountain sections.
For your first visit, arriving before dark can make the drive more comfortable and gives you a chance to get familiar with the roads in daylight.
During snow, ice or other winter conditions, AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended along with good tires and extra travel time.

Weather at the cabin can be cooler, windier, foggier or more winter-like than conditions at lower elevations in Mars Hill, Weaverville or Asheville.
Check the mountain weather before packing and again before beginning your drive, especially during winter or rapidly changing conditions.
